We asked Sheila about her role as a process engineer and what she finds most enjoyable about working in manufacturing at Freudenberg.

Here Is Her Story:

I work on the development and implementation of processes for new product launches, with Operations, Quality and Product groups. We ensure that the new product fulfills all internal and customer process criteria. Before a successful launch, I develop and manage project plans beginning with the prototype stage, and along the way I collect and analyze data to develop proposals for solving problems.

I greatly appreciate the collaborative environment and cooperation between and within Freudenberg departments, and the numerous opportunities to learn and grow with various teams is priceless. Beyond technical skills, I’ve learned about project management and the importance of clear and concise communications.

The most rewarding part of my job is the incredibly knowledgeable people I work with and the challenging nature of my work. The work I do makes an impact. Manufacturing is creative problem-solving in a quick-paced environment, and I’m fascinated by the robotics and the automation that is being incorporated into existing processes. I’m ready to take on the challenge with Freudenberg.
