Next stop Stuttgart: The Battery Show, Europe’s the largest trade fair for advanced battery technology, is being held in the Swabian metropolis in May 2019. The Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo Europe is taking place in parallel.
It is the leading trade fair for electric and hybrid vehicle technologies and innovations, and it showcases manufacturing and supply solutions along the entire supply chain. It encompasses electric drivetrains and components, battery management systems, materials and equipment. The organizers of the two events expect more than 400 manufacturers and service providers as well as 8,000 visitors from more than 70 countries to attend. There will be discussions on design, production and assembly solutions, not to mention a focus on materials and components. Get a view of the latest energy storage solutions – even at the accompanying conference, which draws high-level attendees. It provides a look at the most important business and technical challenges facing the industry as well as a platform for networking and sharing information.
When it comes to the sharing of expertise, the sealing experts from Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) are key participants in the conversation. As the market leader in technology, quality and service in the auto sector and a supplier to all the important car and commercial vehicle manufacturers, FST will be presenting innovative sealing solutions at Battery Show Europe. They include innovative components for conventional internal combustion engines as well as the latest e-mobility solutions. For example, the portfolio that will be presented at Battery Show Europe includes innovative sealing solutions for fuel cell stacks and special plastic seals for pouch cells.
XALT Energy will join FST on the stand. The U.S. company manufactures large-scale lithium ion battery cells, modules and systems, among other products, for buses, heavy commercial vehicles and ships. FST secured majority interest in the company beginning of 2019.
Martin Klein, Senior Vice President of Engineering at XALT Energy, will be there to talk about "Extending Vehicle Mission Capabilities with Adaptive Battery Modules and Controls". The presentation will start at 2:00 pm on Wednesday May 8 within track 1.
Freudenberg Performance Materials will also be represented on the stand and show their product portfolio for increased safety for lithium-ion batteries.
