AABC Europe - Advanced Automotive Battery Conference

Combustion engines will be a thing of the past in the EU from 2035 on. It is therefore all the more important that the remaining time be used to leverage the full potential of electromobility. The focus here is on battery technology. AABC Europe is also dedicated to the latest developments, technologies, innovative trends and market forecasts in this field. At this year’s event, the focus will again be on the types of innovations that will help launch the next generation of electric vehicle batteries.

The experts from Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) also want to support this with their know-how. In Mainz, for example, they will be presenting the latest company developments in the area of heat shields. Developed specifically for lithium-ion battery systems, this safety feature prevents heat from spilling over to neighboring cells in the event of a malfunction. The focus will also be on the battery pressure equalization valve DIAvent. The patented nonwovens it contains ensure reliable multifunctional battery pressure equalization even under extreme conditions. The electrically conductive nonwoven eCON diverts bearing currents and thus possible electrical erosion past the bearing. Noise generation, vibrations and, in extreme cases, rolling bearing failure are thus a thing of the past. Thermally Conductive Electrically Isolating (TCEI) Material is one of the latest addition to the range. TCEI grades offer significant improvements in temperature control and show significant temperature reductions in e-motor applications. 

Our colleagues from Freudenberg Performance Materials will also be at the booth to present Battery Pack Liquid Absorbers, an effective climate and liquid management system for lithium-ion battery packs. Battery Pack Liquid Absorbers reliably absorb condensation and leaking coolant and noticeably extend the service lives of battery packs.
