Motor Symposium Vienna

The International Vienna Motor Symposium is a fixed institution in the annual calendar of automotive and supplier companies. In 2024, participants can once again look forward to the proven mix of a presentation program and an accompanying trade show. The program is geared to current trends and challenges. For example, the focus will be on presentations and exhibitions on the topics of CO2 reduction and fleet consumption, electrification of the powertrain, hybrid technologies and e-platforms, as well as regenerative fuels or the latest results in motor and powertrain development.

Freudenberg experts will also be sharing their knowledge of heat shields, the battery pressure equalization valve DIAvent and general battery applications: Thermal and pressure management currently top the list of innovative developments. The result is heat shields developed especially for lithium-ion battery systems, for example. In the event of a cell malfunction, they prevent the heat from “spilling over” to neighboring cells, a huge safety advantage. DIAvent has proven itself as an intelligent pressure management solution for large batteries for electric and hybrid vehicles. The patented nonwovens it contains reliably ensure multifunctional battery pressure equalization even under extreme conditions. In addition to these innovations, Freudenberg Sealing Technologies offers many other tailor-made products and solutions for components in electric vehicles and fuel cell-based vehicles, such as the electrically conductive nonwoven eCON: It conducts bearing currents and thus possible electrical erosion past the bearing. Noise generation, vibrations and, in extreme cases, rolling bearing failure are thus a thing of the past.
