Combustion engines will be a thing of the past in the EU from 2035 on. It is therefore all the more important that the remaining time be used to leverage the full potential of electromobility. Advanced Automotive Battery Conference Europe is also dedicated to the latest developments, technologies, innovative trends and market forecasts in this field. Freudenberg experts will present two of our highlight products in battery manufacturing: advanced battery cell caps and envelopes. These products offer high energy density, superior thermal management, and robust performance. The Battery Cell Caps for prismatic cells combine sealing and engineered plastics expertise with stamping technology to ensure a long service life. Advanced, high-performance automation systems were developed and implemented in-house to meet the requirements of large-scale production. The Envelopes in Prismatic Battery Cells protect the cell stack during installation and provide electrical isolation from the aluminum housing. While polypropylene or PET foils are the industry standard, Freudenberg Sealing Technology's unique approach uses nonwoven materials, offering significant technical advantages over standard foils. This innovation will help advance battery cell designs to the next level.
