The Battery Show North America

As the electrification of powertrains continues, new solutions are always in demand – to increase the range of battery-powered vehicles, for example, or to improve their resistance to cold, or to develop new safety features in the event of an accident. Events such as the American edition of the Battery Show are important drivers of innovation in this regard. As with sister events on other continents, industry experts will be meeting in North America to discuss and present interesting approaches and exciting innovations in the field of battery applications. 

Freudenberg experts will present two additions to the battery product family: advanced battery cell caps and envelopes. These products offer high energy density, superior thermal management, and robust performance. The Battery Cell Caps for prismatic cells combine our expertise in sealing and engineered plastics with our knowledge in stamping technology, ensuring a long service life. 

Naturally, the proven products for thermal and pressure management will also be available at the booth. For example, heat shields specifically developed for lithium-ion battery systems. In the event of a cell malfunction, these prevent the heat from "spilling over" to neighboring cells, which is a significant safety advantage. DIAvent has proven itself as an intelligent pressure management solution for large batteries in electric and hybrid vehicles. The patented nonwoven materials it contains reliably ensure multifunctional battery pressure equalization even under extreme conditions.

The Freudenberg subsidiary SurTec will also be in attendance. It develops, manufactures and markets tailor-made specialty chemicals for surface treatment. The company supplies global solutions for Industrial Parts Cleaning, Metal Pre-treatment, Functional Coatings and Electroplating. 

And finally, colleagues from Freudenberg Filtration Technology will join our booth.
