Our DIAvent® component, for example, offers intelligent pressure management solutions for large batteries in electric and hybrid vehicles. Specially developed heat shields for lithium-ion battery systems prevent the heat from “propagating” to neighboring cells when cells malfunction. The patented nonwovens they contain reliably ensure bi-directional pressure compensation even under extreme conditions.

Modern sealing technology in the power train makes it possible to minimize noise and vibrations, thus increasing the durability of the entire vehicle. Power train seals must be reliable, robust and durable. And that’s what Freudenberg Sealing Technologies’s Simmerrings, cassette seals and joint bellows really are!

Material expertise for media resistance: for example, the cassettes seal excellently against oil and grease and offer reliable protection against, dirt, mud and sand. The joint bellow even combines two functions in one component: in addition to sealing and protecting the constant-velocity universal joint against external impact, the bellow also compensates for the movements of the shaft and the casing.
