Our portfolio on components addressing thermal management, temperature and pressure control, power densities and service improve the safety, reliability and range of electric vehicles. Our DIAvent® component, for example, offers intelligent pressure management solutions for large batteries in electric and hybrid vehicles. Specially developed heat shields for lithium-ion battery systems prevent the heat from “propagating” to neighboring cells when cells malfunction. The patented nonwovens they contain reliably ensure bi-directional pressure compensation even under extreme conditions.

U-rings, diaphragms and rubber-plastic components for pneumatic brakes underscore the importance of production precision and profound knowledge in material and process engineering. When it comes to brakes, the highest quality standards, maximum process control and a zero-defect philosophy play a vital role in the truest sense of the word. Function safety is the be-all and end-all to also reliably bring heavyweights to a standstill.
Equally as important is the world’s transition to higher levels of autonomy via improvements in driver assistance. Making such a leap requires the utmost focus on safety and reliability. Freudenberg Sealing Technologies is dedicated to this future reality. As such FST is innovating together daily with many ADAS related manufactures. Together with these manufactures we have developed EMI shielding plastic housings equipped with clips. Additionally, the housing can come complete with integrated 2K seals and 3D Thermal Interface Materials for printed circuit boards. Our hope is that our efforts to innovate with our customers will lead to a safer means of transportation.
