Our portfolio on components addressing thermal management, temperature and pressure control, power densities and service improve the safety, reliability and range of electric vehicles. Our DIAvent® component, for example, offers intelligent pressure management solutions for large batteries in electric and hybrid vehicles. Specially developed heat shields for lithium-ion battery systems prevent the heat from “propagating” to neighboring cells when cells malfunction. The patented nonwovens they contain reliably ensure bi-directional pressure compensation even under extreme conditions.

With its seals for manual and automatic transmission systems, Freudenberg Sealing Technologies has been leading the field for many decades. On its way to ensuring our future mobility, the sealing specialist has used its friction-minimized and low-emission transmission seals to shift up a gear. Whether 4-step hybrid, 7-step double-clutch transmission systems or innovative seals for 8/9-step automatic transmission systems, Freudenberg Sealing Technologies drives innovation in transmission technology.

The wide variety of seals for transmission systems ranges from Casco Simmerrings to the extremely friction-reduced quantum seal for hydraulic circuits. Another example of these Low Emission Sealing Solutions (LESS) from Freudenberg Sealing Technologies are piston accumulators for hydraulic double-clutch transmission systems. They combine the automotive industry’s requirements for fuel consumption and weight reduction with an extraordinarily long service life. At the same time, they can also be used very economically and reliably in start/stop applications in any automatic transmission system.
